CENTIER BANK'S DOWNTOWN SOUTH BEND BRANCH WELCOMES SHELLY BUTLER AS BRANCH MANAGER, AVP

Centier Bank, Indiana’s largest private, family-owned and operated bank, is pleased to announce Shelly Butler as the Branch Manager/AVP of the South Bend Downtown branch. Butler transferred from the LaPorte branch and will now manage Centier’s team of associates located at 108 N Main St.

“I most value my partners, the Centier culture and of course my community that I get to assist daily as branch manager,” said Butler. “I’m excited to continue to bring my servant heart to South Bend.”

Butler has more than 25 years of experience in banking at a regional financial institution prior to joining Centier, holding almost every role from part-time teller to assistant branch manager. She joined Centier in December 2023 as a Branch Manager of the LaPorte branch where she led her team to achieve Centier’s 2024 Branch of the Year.

“Shelly has been an amazing branch manager in LaPorte, as evident by their recent Branch of the Year award,” said Scott Vermillion, Northeast Indiana Regional Sales Manager at Centier Bank. “We’re looking forward to seeing her continue to thrive at the South Bend Downtown branch and within the South Bend community.”

Butler holds a Business Administration degree from Indiana Tech, and she and her husband have five children and three dogs. She is new to the South Bend community and is looking for opportunities to get involved. Butler was previously involved with the LaPorte YMCA, LEAP, and LaPorte’s Family Resource.

Centier Bank also has much to celebrate this year, including commemorating 130 years in business as well as being named the Best Retail Bank for Customer Satisfaction in the North Central Region of the United States in the 2025 J.D. Power Retail Banking Satisfaction Study.
